The River Church Expands AV Upgrades for a Seamless Worship Experience

Fort Wayne, IN – [02.12.2025] – The River Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, recently underwent a significant AV upgrade to enhance worship production and live streaming. With aging technology creating challenges for staff and volunteers, Atom Integration was brought in to modernize their system, ensuring high-quality audio, reliable video, and a more streamlined workflow.

A key part of the upgrade was replacing the existing video switcher with the Blackmagic ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD, providing greater flexibility for managing multiple video sources. The addition of a Canon CR-N300 PTZ Camera, controlled via the Skaarhoj PTZ Pro with Blue Pill, improved video capture and camera movement, making it easier to create a professional multi-camera production.

The transition from VGA to SDI infrastructure significantly improved video signal quality and reliability throughout the facility. A Blackmagic Web Presenter HD was also integrated, ensuring stable and high-quality online broadcasts.

To enhance visibility for musicians and speakers on stage, a Confidence TV was installed, providing a clear reference for song lyrics, sermon notes, and cues during services.

Rather than replacing existing equipment, Atom Integration reworked and optimized The River Church’s audio system to improve clarity, consistency, and overall performance. The PA system was retuned, ensuring even coverage and better balance across the room. The soundboard was reprogrammed, making it easier to navigate and better suited to the church’s specific needs.

Wireless audio systems also received a significant upgrade. Microphones and in-ear monitors (IEMs) were reprogrammed and optimized for better frequency management and reliability. To further enhance performance, remote antennas and a distribution system were installed, improving signal strength and reducing potential interference. Additionally, floor pocket channels were verified and reorganized, streamlining connections for the worship team and ensuring a more efficient setup for rehearsals and services.

With these upgrades, The River Church now has a modernized AV system that enhances worship services while simplifying production. The improved audio and video capabilities provide a clearer, more immersive experience for both in-person and online audiences.
