Enhancing the Daniel Retreat Center at Camp Lutherhaven

Albion, IN – [03.17.2025] – At Camp Lutherhaven, a place where faith, community, and adventure come together, the Daniel Retreat Center serves as a vital space for worship, teaching, and fellowship. To ensure seamless audio and visual experiences, Atom Integration was brought in to upgrade the facility with a powerful yet user-friendly AV system that enhances gatherings of all sizes.

Clear, Even Sound for Every Gathering

One of the key challenges in the space was achieving consistent, intelligible audio throughout the room. To solve this, we installed JBL CBT 70J-1 column line array speakers, which provide wide, even coverage while minimizing unwanted reflections. These are paired with a JBL ASB6125 dual 15” subwoofer, ensuring full-range sound with deep, impactful bass.

Powering the system is a Crown CDi DriveCore 4|1200 amplifier, offering efficient and reliable performance. This setup delivers balanced, clear audio, whether for spoken word, music, or multimedia presentations.

Simple & Flexible Audio Control

Camp Lutherhaven hosts a variety of events, from worship services to group discussions, so it was essential to provide a mixing system that is both powerful and intuitive. The Behringer X32 Rack digital mixer, paired with a Behringer SD16 stage box, allows users to control the mix remotely via a tablet or smartphone.

To ensure wireless clarity and reliability, we installed a Shure SLX-D digital wireless microphone system, which includes handheld and bodypack transmitters. An RF Venue Diversity Architectural Antenna improves RF performance, minimizing interference and ensuring a stable wireless connection for speakers and musicians.

High-Quality Visuals for Presentations & Worship

For presentations, song lyrics, and video playback, we installed an Epson PowerLite L775U laser projector, providing bright, high-resolution visuals even in rooms with ambient light. The image is projected onto a Da-Lite motorized screen, allowing for a professional, adaptable display that can be raised or lowered as needed.

A Kramer VP-440X switcher/scaler enables seamless source switching, ensuring easy connectivity for laptops, media players, and other devices.

Reliable Power Management & Integration

To protect the system and streamline operation, we installed a Furman CN-2400S power sequencer, allowing for safe, controlled power-up and shutdown of all AV equipment. The entire system is housed in a Lowell 16U wall-mount rack, keeping components organized and easily accessible.
